QUICK REVIEW

Pros The intuitive fitness tracking and programming apps are definite pros on this model. The MyLifeLight(TM) App (free to register) is a “digital hub” that combines cloud-based web services and your favorite mobile apps to track and personalize your workouts to help you reach specific goals. This app works in conjunction with the Intelligent Weight Management (IWM) program to offer workout programs that are completely tailored to the user's needs, by using personal information like weight and BMI, for optimal results. The console can also be connected to ay smartphone. Beyond the console, the multiple customizable features make this elliptical trainer a winner for almost anyone.
Cons
Summary Customizable and innovative are two words to describe this new elliptical trainer. The console uses Bluetooth technology to personalize workouts and tailor workout stats to users, and the many adjustable features make it an adaptable trainer overall. And while we aren't too sure about the details of the drive system, we can assume it's a pretty heavy-duty flywheel based on the high weight capacity. In all, the pros outweigh the cons if you can get over the price tag, which is just over $2400.

Detailed Overview

Beware: It seems as though Yowza has gone out of business. If you are looking to buy one of their machines proceed with caution.

A top rated elite model, the Navarre Elite offers innovative tracking features and multiple adjustable features that make this top model a high-performance elliptical trainer that is fully customizable.

The Navarre Elite is the top model in the new CardioSure(TM) line-up of rear drive elliptical trainers by Yowza. As the top model in the series, it is the most expensive, retailing for $2,499, with Yowza offering a lifetime warranty on the frame and braking system and 7 years coverage on parts.

There are multiple customizable features on this model that include an adjustable stride, adjustable incline and adjustable pedals. The electronic adjustable stride offers users the option to go from 19 to 30 inches, which is pretty impressive, and the power adjustable incline goes up to 60% (one of the steepest inclines available on any elliptical trainer). Even the ErgoFit self-pivoting pedals are adjustable. This model can also go in both forward and reverse, and is designed with Yowza’s new SuperGrip(TM) dual action handlebars that help to engage the upper body to increase calorie burn and target the muscles of the arm.

Coming to the console, you’ll find a built-in 3-speed fan, tablet reading rack, a USB charging port and an MP3 port with Fitsound Bluetooth enabled speakers. And while you will only find 9 pre-set workout programs, there are 9 user-profiles and heart rate monitoring programs that can be used with the built-in wireless hear rate monitor (wireless chest strap included). There are also 16 levels of resistance to choose from. As with all models in this series, the Navarre Elite is equipped with the MyLiveLight(TM) App, complete with a Bluetooth enabled Intelligent Weight Management (IWM) scale and programming for the ability to track calories and personalize workouts using real time stats.

The Bottom Line

The Navarre Elite is a premium, top of the line elliptical trainer that would be the perfect workout machine for almost anyone. Few elliptical trainers will offer so many ways to customize and personalize a workout as this model, and few elliptical trainers will offer strides up to 30 inches and inclines up to 60%. Overall, this model impresses from top to bottom, and if you willing to spend a little extra money, we highly recommend the Yowza Navarre Elite, as part of the CardioSure(TM) line-up for 2015.
